REALLY WILD WOMEN
Meet one of our #REALLYWILDWOMEN
Sara Quaglia
We adore her very British style and the way she beautifully captures her life over on her blog. Sara was born in a small village surrounded by vineyards. She left Italy in 2009 to follow her lifelong dream of becoming a Londoner. Sara and Catherine’s Tales is a personal lifestyle blog where she shares her adventures and the daily excitement of living in the buzzing city that is London. We caught up with Sara to learn a little more about her.
For those who aren’t familiar, tell us a little bit about your career and life as an influencer?
I don’t really like to call myself an influencer: I prefer (and feel quite proud about it) to think that, somehow, I can inspire people by sharing snippets of dreamy moments.
I started my blog almost 6 years ago, at that time I had no clue this could turn into a job but it kind of is now. I feel very privileged but I also know this is mainly a passion that will remain even if paid work would stop coming in.
What is your favourite thing about what you do?
Taking pictures! I LOVE to think of a scene that I want to capture, imagining it in my head before turning it into reality: it is so satisfying!

You have been sharing such beautiful style inspiration on your Instagram during the lockdown, can you tell us a bit about how you developed your personal style?
First of all, thank you! I think that after a period where I experienced a sort of “identity crisis” trying to follow trends, I finally got back to my roots, to what I really feel reflects who I am. I would say that achieving a personal style was a journey that taught me to simply be myself.
What is your favourite piece from our SS20 collection and why?
Hard to choose but my favorite has to be the Pin Tuck Dress with cap sleeves, I’m a big fan of Liberty’s silk and the delicate blue is a shade that I’m adding touches of both at home and in my wardrobe. It just oozes freshness and summer vibes.

You have two beautiful children, can you give our Really Wild mothers any tip recommendations for keeping children happy during this time?
Oh, I’m struggling a lot, to be honest. Homeschooling while having a 3-year-old around definitely has its challenges. Let’s just say we try to enjoy ourselves during weekends, when we have long meals in the garden, go for walks and now we will be allowed to drive to the countryside, which is something we all look forward to!
What’s your favourite way(s) to enjoy the British WILD?
Going for walks in the nature (and taking pictures along the way, of course!). We just bought a car after having been in London for 4 years. I feel more excited than ever to go and discover the beautiful British countryside.

In what way(s) does the WILD empower you?
It just recharges my battery, I dream of moving to the countryside one day and fully enjoy nature and the fresh air.
